Entroido tradicional de Mos

Text:

Traditional carnival in which the Currumiños (masked men and women) collect donations from the villagers.

The carnival in the Pontevedra parish of Mos has recently revived ancestral traditions such as that of the “Currumiños,” a figure brought back by a local youth and linked to ancient winter rites. This group consists of disheveled, masked individuals who collect donations from house to house in the parish.
