False hagionym with a complement alluding to the repopulation of people from Galicia, as in Gallegos de Argañán in the foreground or further north, in Zamora, in Gallegos del Campo. The toponyms that recall the origin of the first settlers are very frequent, as the name has been constituted as a toponym or has been incorporated into it. See García Sánchez (2022, 157-158).
